EyeCycled7 days agoIf this was 7 years ago and EyeCycled was 3 years old, that means EyeCycled is now 10 years old. Almost an adolescent now 😉.
I probably should do something to celebrate this... I'll think of something.
#EyeCycled is 10 years old.

EyeCycled2 weeks agoToday, 8 years ago, I arrived at the Basilica of Our Lady of Aparecida, after having cycled the nearly 600 Km of the "Caminho da Fé" (Faith's Way) in Brazil. The basilica is the 2nd largest catholic building in the world, only a tad smaller than St Peter's Basilica in the Vatican.
This is one of the best organized pilgrimage routes I've done. There are yellow arrows pointing the way everywhere along the way and plenty of hostels to look after the pilgrims. According to last year's stats, nearly 55,000 pilgrims walked or cycled this route in Brazil, with a high % of them being cyclists (higher than in other "caminos").
If you are Brazilian or are looking for pilgrimage options around the world, I fully recommend this experience.

Many of us, of many different faiths (and perhaps even those with none) believe in the existence of a soul / spirit and that this invisible entity is, in fact, our essence.
If you share this belief, then it stands to reason that the body becomes the home of the spirit and wherever the body finds itself, you're home.
